About The Position

The Tooling Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of tooling for new and current products to meet the requirements of production. This role involves managing a team of engineers and coordinating with other departments to ensure effective tooling processes.

Requirements

  • More than ten years of experience in related production processes and technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above (those with production experience are preferred).
  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.
  • Proficiency in office software such as WORD, EXCEL, PPT, and PLEX.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
  • Ability to analyze and solve process difficulties using quality tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Tooling Engineer, Tooling Maintenance Engineer and coordinate work with other departments.
  • Work directly with Tooling Engineer and Tooling Maintenance Engineer for design, order, review, buyoff, and debugging tooling and checking fixtures.
  • Responsible for tooling and checking fixtures' continuous improvement projects, guiding each project team’s improvement process.
  • Assist in the reviews for the feasibility of the commercial quotation and production line planning.
  • Evaluate newly received tools and equipment to ensure production capability.
  • Assist in the approval process for designs of checking fixtures and tooling.
  • Promote skill improvement for the group.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
