About The Position

The Tooling Specialist II, Tool Prep position at Howmet Aerospace involves working on the first shift in the City of Industry, CA. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in General Manufacturing as a Machinist.
• Ability to use hands frequently for tool prep.
• Willingness to run precision Harding lathe and learn to run Sunnen hone machine.
• Ability to operate hydraulic press safely.
• Knowledge of basic shop math and manufacturing processes.
• Effective communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Toolprep experience highly desired.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with team members and Production Team Leader.
• Read, write, and understand basic instructions in English.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Learn to use measurement instruments.
• Follow directions and complete first piece verification.
• Maintain a good attitude and willingness to learn.
• Perform entry-level setups and understand speeds and feeds for machines.
• Use measuring instruments and gages for operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Comply with all SPC daily requirements.
