Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 600 employees. Ensure the efficient and timely maintenance and repair of injection molding tools and equipment to minimize production downtime and maximize the lifespan and performance of the tools. This includes planning, coordinating, and overseeing all maintenance activities, ensuring proper allocation of resources, and maintaining a smooth workflow between the tool shop and the production floor. Create detailed maintenance schedules for tooling, including preventive and corrective maintenance, to ensure tools are always production-ready. Independently carry out order planning for tool maintenance in the system provided for this purpose (e.g. MES) Independent coordination and prioritization of scheduling with internal customers Work closely with production teams to minimize disruptions, ensuring that tools are serviced during downtime or according to production needs. Allocate labor, equipment, and materials effectively to meet maintenance timelines. Ensure regular inspection of tools to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, tool performance, and any repairs or adjustments made Independently preparing internal information and passing it on to the relevant departments (e.g. managers, requisitioners, etc.) Compliance with safety and environmental regulations, accident prevention regulations and quality regulations in accordance with the quality manual

Requirements

  • Knowledge acquired as part of a 3-year technical apprenticeship and extended by means of advanced training to become a technician or master craftsman.
  • This position requires at least 3 years of experience in a comparable function in the field of injection molds.
