About The Position

Tooling Maintenance Engineer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of tools, equipment, and checking fixtures. Ensure that all tools are in proper working condition and available for use by production teams.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree and above, major in machine design, manufacturing, and automation or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, other engineers, leadership and customers.
  • Healthy physical condition, able to travel, and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip).
  • Visual acuity including near and far vision, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
  • Mathematical skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Reasoning ability - ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Computer skills - knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with Office software, basic network operations and e-mail.
  • Proficient with CAD design software, such as UG, Catia, or Solidworks; strength in AutoCad is a plus.
  • Proficient with 3D modeling designs, and 2D technical drawing constructions.
  • Familiar with moderate knowledge of tooling/fixtures installment and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiar with the manufacturing technology, especially underlying the component installment process.
  • Able to communicate with other departments regarding technical issues related to tooling/fixtures.
  • Able to guide workshop technicians, technological operations, and new employee training.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills; analysis and judgment capability; adaptability to changes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose tooling/ fixtures problems and recommend repairs or replacements as necessary.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or technicians for complex repairs or specialized maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replacements, and equipment performance.
  • Monitor tooling/ fixtures performance metrics and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
