About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Tooling Maintenance Tech - nights, to join our team located in Kent, Washington . The Tooling Maintenance Tech w orks as part of a team with various departments to provide a fully functional tool to meet customer expectations in a quick and efficient manner using SPC and other resources available. This is a full-time 12-hour, rotating night shift position - 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Rotation includes working Fri, Sat, Sun, every other weekend.

Requirements

High school degree, or equivalent.
Previous industrial experience.
Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot.
Good reading and mathematical proficiencies
Ability to operate hand tools, and equipment required to complete job related tasks
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend
Safety focus with a willingness to adhere to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Disassemble, clean, reassemble tooling after production runs.
Operate a variety of equipment, and use hand-work to clean, repair, and prepare tooling for production.
Diagnose and correct problems encountered while running tooling online.
Clean and repair die heads and flange plates.
Wire, test, install and maintain heater bands and electrical cords.
Adhere to and complete work within the 5S standards, SOPs, and OSHA guidelines.
