About The Position

Own the intersection of tooling design, manufacturability, and team leadership Join a technically rigorous engineering group where your decisions directly influence production readiness and new product introductions. You will guide tooling engineers and technicians, orchestrate daily execution, and serve as the go-to expert for complex design and process issues. Role highlights Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day work of tooling engineers and technicians. Prioritize the portfolio by engineering complexity, NPI milestones, and production demand. Lead Tier boards and technical stand-ups to align stakeholders and remove blockers. Perform high-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis; champion design-led solutions. Specify tooling requirements for NPI, review design packages, and validate manufacturability. Decompose engineering solutions into actionable tasks; verify correct execution. Partner with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and quality to resolve cross-functional challenges. Develop team capability via coaching, targeted training, and structured problem-solving methods. Continuously raise the bar on tooling design standards, documentation, and engineering workflows. Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or related Engineering field. 3–5+ years in tooling, manufacturing, or design engineering. 2–3 years of supervisory/lead experience with engineering and technician teams. Proficiency in hard/soft tooling, machining, fabrication, and composite tooling. Strength in engineering-level troubleshooting; able to guide DFM/MRB decisions. Demonstrated planning, scheduling, and multi-program workload management. Track record of leveraging KPIs to drive continuous improvement. Preferred experience NPI support: tooling readiness and cross-functional engineering reviews. Hands-on CAD, GD&T, design reviews, and tooling package validation. Leading safety, ergonomic, and process optimization initiatives. Mentoring engineers and technicians to elevate problem-solving capability. Compensation Salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $122,500 depending on experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or related Engineering field.
