About The Position

As a Tooling Design Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and production of large plastic components by leading tooling strategy, design input, and execution. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that injection mold tools are optimized for manufacturability, performance, and cost-effectiveness, while meeting demanding production requirements. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, as well as external toolmakers, to guide the entire tooling lifecycle—from early-stage DFM reviews through tool build, validation, and continuous improvement. This role is central to driving robust tooling solutions that support both new product introductions and long-term manufacturing success.

  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support new product launches and process modifications
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations for tooling-related issues, implementing effective corrective actions
  • Ensure tooling meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Manage the full tooling lifecycle, including maintenance, repairs, and replacements
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through innovative tooling solutions and process enhancements
