The Tooling Apprentice position at Magna Exteriors is a permanent role based in Carrollton, Georgia, where the successful candidate will report directly to the Supervisor. This role is integral to the operations of Decostar, focusing on maintaining a positive and productive workplace by adhering to the principles outlined in The MAGNA Employee's Charter. The apprentice will be expected to demonstrate teamwork skills, actively participate in team activities, and exhibit a fair and consistent management approach to ensure employee satisfaction and productivity. In this role, the apprentice will be responsible for problem-solving in a work environment that emphasizes continuous improvement. They will identify growth and developmental opportunities for personnel, ensuring that all employees receive the necessary training to perform their jobs safely. The apprentice will also be tasked with meeting and maintaining customer quality standards, as well as the standards set by Decostar. Health and safety are paramount in this position. The apprentice will direct and follow Decostar Industries' health and safety policies, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors. They will be responsible for correcting unsafe behaviors, responding to health and safety concerns, and reporting any accidents or incidents promptly. Additionally, the apprentice will execute basic tooling maintenance on molds, complete documentation for QS requirements, and organize toolroom supplies and equipment. They will assist Molding Process Technicians and Molding Maintenance Technicians, ensuring that all work is performed efficiently and effectively. Overall, the Tooling Apprentice will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the toolroom and contributing to the overall success of the Decostar team.
