About The Position

The Tool Service Operator at Schaeffler is responsible for preparing and maintaining tooling used in manufacturing processes. This role involves reading and understanding tooling prints, setting up tooling, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The operator will also handle the disassembly and maintenance of tools, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of production operations.

Requirements

  • 1 year Tool Preparing Experience
  • High School Education or GED
  • Ability to read Tool Print
  • Must be able to lift 40 Lbs. and sometimes 70 Lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand tooling print
  • Prepare set-up tooling daily
  • Determine location of tooling by industry log book or inside cover of actual dimension book
  • Utilize all measuring equipment to check tooling dimensions
  • Order back-up tooling with proper print
  • Disassemble tooling after use; wash, check for wear, replace worn tooling if needed or rework
  • Read and understand SOP for tool preparation
  • Check tooling to actual dimension sheet and drawing
  • Know and understand the current specifications of the Quality Policy and Procedures
  • Comply with and support Schaeffler Group USA, Inc., Policies and Procedures, Plant Rules, Guidelines and Environmental Health and Safety Regulations
