Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years' experience in machine shop, tooling management environment
  • 3+ years experience operating and programming CNC tool presetters (preferably Zoller – Haimer also applicable)
  • Experience using software-based tool management systems (preferably Zoller – Wintool, TDM, and CribMaster also applicable)
  • Experience managing RFID tracked cutting tool assemblies
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for mechanical and electromechanical parts
  • Experience with industry machining standards, regulations, and techniques

Responsibilities

  • Build cutting tool and Workholding packages based on tool lists
  • Source and purchase necessary cutting tools, cutting tool holders and accessories, and standardized Workholding
  • Organize high quantities of different cutting tools and Workholding for traceability and rapid deployment to machining assets
  • Administer vendor managed inventory (VMI)
  • Preset cutting tool assemblies using a Zoller tool setter, using RFID for preset data transfer
  • Digitally build and manage cutting tool assemblies in the tool management system (TMS)
