About The Position
The Tool Room Technician at Timken is responsible for planning and performing a wide range of precision internal/external setups related to tooling. This role involves skilled bench work including grinding, turning, milling, filing, scraping, lapping, fitting, timing, indexing, assembly, and adjusting to ensure proper operation. The technician will manufacture intermediate level or detailed parts from prints, maintain expert level setups on specific machines, and perform CNC functions at a skilled level. The position requires adherence to quality specifications, inspection of components, and compliance with safety and maintenance schedules. The technician will also work with engineering on new or altered items and may handle regulated waste disposal.
