About The Position

The role involves setting up and operating various manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills, grinders (OD, ID, & Surface), key-seaters, EDM, drill presses, and band saws. The primary goal is to ensure that the Manufacturing, IG, and Assemble Production processes are operating at optimum levels. Additional tasks include servicing housing and gear department fixtures, assisting at the Service Gate for parts from the Tool Room's inventory, and performing tool settings. The company is looking for someone who is willing to grow with them as they expand their capabilities.

Requirements

  • Applicable certifications and/or at least 10 years of experience as a machinist.
  • Experienced in cutting and grinding gears.
  • Experienced with machining parts up to 10K lbs.
  • Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous interruptions.
  • Able to work with design and service engineers to repair or modify any parts needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run all Tool Room equipment including Grinding, Turning, and Milling Machines.
  • Program all CNC's (G code and Conversational).
  • Fully service and troubleshoot all Fixtures within the Manufacturing facility.
  • Assist with the Tool Room's service door as fellow employees require components and machining assistance to keep manufacturing processes moving forward.
  • Rigging on parts and material up to 10k lbs.
