About The Position
Tool Room Clerk Classification Non-Exempt Job Summary This position will include assisting the Service Department by maintaining and managing the tool room by checking tools in and out to jobs via handheld scanner. Essential Functions Checking tools in and out to jobs via computer software Maintain and update records of tool room equipment, tools and kits Replaces barcodes when necessary Properly labels new tools Responsible for returning tools to the appropriate location Issue tools, kits and equipment to the concerned departments Ensure return of issued tools, kits and equipment back to the tool room after use Check for damages or unusable condition of tools, equipment and kits Tags tools that require repair Organize tools and equipment on shelves and racks for easy access Keep abreast of advance technologies in tools and equipment designs Maintain tool room equipment manuals, processes and operational guidelines Responsible for inventory control of consumables and tools Inspect daily forklifts, sweep, jack, jack stand for operation and safety Inspect cranes for operation and safety Transfer tools and kits from tool room to other Doggett location upon requests Maintain good housekeeping throughout the shop Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Willingness to work flexible hours Experience with maintenance/operation of basic tools and equipment The Tool Room Clerk must perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation efficiently and accurately, and without causing significant safety threat to self or others. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Experience with maintenance/operation of basic tools and equipment
Responsibilities
