About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to set up, operate, program manual and CNC horizontal milling machines, manual lathes, and CNC lathes performing detailed operations on a variety of parts and components. Use a range of tools, including milling cutters, boring bars and heads, saws, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and . Your role will require a proven understanding of shop mathematics and the capacity to interpret complicated drawings, specifications, charts, and tables. You should also have experience with precision measuring instruments and/or specialized occupation training

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5-7 years of experience with CNC machinery, programming, G & M code, and manual machining which includes familiarity with blueprints.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must be able to pass the career iness exam silver status.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to load/unload parts and assist crane operators.
• Set up machines by installing tooling and adjusting feeds, speeds, and settings per job specifications.
• Secure and align workpieces using appropriate tools and fixtures to ensure accurate machining.
• Follow established procedures, including lineups, manuscripts, programs, and tooling sheets, to operate machines effectively.
• Perform a wide range of machining operations such as milling, drilling, turning, grinding, and using various control methods.
• Conduct in-process inspections and integrity checks to maintain drawing tolerances. Make necessary tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments.
• Remove chips, inspect and clean parts, perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs, and complete required documentation such as log sheets and downtime records.
