About The Position

IMCO Carbide Tool Inc. is looking for a Tool Measurement Programmer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team and help shape the future of high‑performance cutting tool production. What You'll Do As a Tool Measurement Programmer, you'll be a key player in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of IMCO's cutting tools. Your work directly impacts tool performance, operator efficiency, and overall production success. You will: Develop, modify, and implement automated measurement programs using Zoller or similar equipment. Build standardized measurement routines using parametric datasets. Conduct thorough testing to ensure machines operate with precision and reliability. Compare automated measurement results with production floor data to validate accuracy. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to improve tool cycle stability, reduce scrap, and enhance productivity. Assist in designing new inspection processes and creating training materials. Support the Manufacturing Process Engineer Trainer in teaching others how to use measurement equipment and software. Maintain detailed measurement records for quality assurance and compliance. Troubleshoot software or programming issues, working with internal teams and external vendors when needed. Identify waste in production processes and help implement workflow improvements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving, and contributing to continuous improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in toolmaking and tool inspection
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (datasets, functions, queries)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to read and interpret tool drawings and geometries
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
