About The Position

The position involves using CAD models to manufacture fixture and gage details and assemble components into completed functional assemblies within allowable tolerances, expected time frames, and forecast costs. The role also includes making necessary fixture and gage repairs to ensure production runs smoothly while producing parts that meet blueprints. The candidate must be able to operate NC WEDM and VMC machines, as well as traditional tool-making equipment such as knee-mills and surface grinders to manufacture and repair fixtures and gauges. Proficiency in using CAM and CAD software is also required.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Apprenticeship Certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
  • A minimum of 12 months experience building aerospace tooling.
  • Must supply their own hand tools.
