About The Position

Temp Tool Maker Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Tool Maker who takes pride in precision and quality work. In this role, you will build, repair, and maintain tools and molds that are essential to daily manufacturing operations. Your work will directly support production efficiency, product quality, and safe operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade/technical school preferred)
• 4-year tool & die apprenticeship or equivalent experience (plastic injection molds preferred)
• Strong machining knowledge and attention to detail
• Ability to read blueprints and hold close tolerances consistently
• Experience operating manual tool room machines
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Forklift experience required
• Basic computer skills
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Overhead bridge crane experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and maintain tools, dies, molds, fixtures, and gauges
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Troubleshoot tooling, mold bases, manifolds, and controllers
• Make timely repairs to reduce production downtime
• Operate tool room equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Complete repair work orders accurately
• Support Changeover, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work overtime as needed
• Provide your own tools
