Toolmaker performs repairs and engineering changes on molds and dies in the mold shop. Role and Responsibilities Second Shift 1. Disassembly/Assembly of molds/dies. 2. Run ALL machine shop equipment related to tool and die industry (lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, TIG welder and various hand tools). 3. Ability to troubleshoot problems at the press. 4. Understanding of injection mold/press die process. 5. Read/Understand 2D and 3D drawing data related to molds/dies. 6. All other duties as assigned #LI-ONSITE Skills and Qualifications Second Shift • Education: Minimum - High School Diploma or GED required. Preferred- 2yr degree in Machine Tool Technology or Apprenticeship in Tool and Die. Journeyman’s card in tool and die making or machining, with Deep Draw Experience also preferred. • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience with die repair or new build • Knowledge: All aspects of the Tool and Die trade. • Skills: Disassembly/Assembly of mold/dies, manual machining, troubleshooting. • Physical requirement: Stand, push, pull, bend over, perform repetative motions and lift up to 35 lbs. + Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work any shift and work overtime + Ability to stand for long periods of time + Ability to bend at the knees and hips + Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms
