Position Summary:We are seeking a motivated Toolmaker to support computer-based machining work centers and manual machining of medical device components. This role requires following work instructions. It involves building, maintaining, and repairing tools, molds, dies, and fixtures. The position also requires effective collaboration within a team. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using a microscope for inspection or related tasks.
  • Proficiency with basic metrology tools including micrometers, gauges, Indicators, and calipers.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and navigation of file systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Tool and Die Maker Certificate
  • Experience with Makino CNC and EDM Controls
  • Experience with automated or manual inspection equipment
  • Experience with CAD/CAM Software
  • Familiarity with ISO Quality Systems particularly in medical device manufacturing.
  • Use of optical inspection equipment. This may be defined as a magnifier, microscope, and/or equipment used for measuring capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Operate computer-based and manual machining work centers, along with related equipment.
  • Machine and assemble tooling in accordance with engineering blueprints.
  • Set up and adjust equipment to required specifications.
  • Follow work instructions, read/fill out router steps, and complete identification labels accurately.
  • Verify system conditions or equipment status before operation.
  • Inspect components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate awareness of departmental quality goals and ensure high workmanship.
  • Enter required data into systems and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, demonstrating strong housekeeping habits.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including equipment-specific requirements (e.g., safe operation of laser radiation sources in accordance with Resonetics’ personal protection policies).
  • Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct work professionally and maintain a high standard of performance and behavior.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Follow direction from the Supervisor and/or Production Manager at all times.
