This facility spans 75,000 square feet and is equipped with over 150 types of machinery, specializing in short to medium run metal fabrication of precision parts. In this role, the Tool and Die Maker will be responsible for laying out, planning, and producing the tooling necessary for manufacturing parts according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the sheet metal, metal stamping, CNC, laser, and welding industries. They will have experience in manufacturing operations, particularly in building and repairing various types of dies, fixtures, machined parts, and assemblies. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential, as the position requires collaboration with other team members to ensure high-quality production. The Tool and Die Maker will also participate in the quoting process to support new business opportunities, maintain and repair dies of all types, troubleshoot dimensional issues, and recommend improvements for increased safety and productivity. Additionally, they will develop machining and checking fixtures to assist the production and quality departments, swiftly identify and communicate equipment issues to the maintenance department, and make recommendations for upgrades or new equipment. A complete skill set with all tool room shop equipment, including milling, lathing, and grinding, is required for this position.
