About The Position

Tool room machinist will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to: safety, housekeeping, continuous improvement, making new details, fixtures, die components, gauges, and all other duties as assigned

Requirements

2+ years experience with machine tools, CNC tools, mills, lathes, surface grinders, etc.
All ppe as required by company for the dept
High school diploma or GED preferred
On the job training
2 years of machining experience required.
Must be able to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be able to lift 40 lobs. on a consistent basis
Must be able to work overtime as needed, 10 hour or 12-hour shifts.
Must be able to stand 10 - 12 hours daily.
Must have physical dexterity.

Nice To Haves

Back ground in stamping dies or similar applications a plus
Accredited technical training facility a plus
Trade school/certificate journeyman card in related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safety and housekeeping
Running Tool Room equipment.
Die repair.
Assisting all team members in the Welding department with troubleshooting, making and replacing weld electrodes.
Create work orders and input them into maintain x program
Assist all dept with machining needs.
All other jobs assigned.
