About The Position

The Tool Maker position involves operating necessary tool room equipment for the purpose of making or reworking dies and tooling for headers and secondary equipment with minimal supervision. Continuous Improvement of processes and products is an ongoing function of this position.

Requirements

• Strong math skills.
• Strong human relations skills.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent in English (both strong verbal and written communication skills).

Nice To Haves

• Heading or tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate all tool room equipment with limited supervision to meet necessary quality and productivity requirements.
• Read most manufacturing and tooling prints and select and prepare necessary tools to meet print tolerances.
• Utilize most of the tool room inspection equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and follow company safety guidelines.
• Perform responsibilities for the Environmental Management System.
• Perform preventative maintenance when required.
• Train less experienced employees.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
