Worldwide Professional Solutions is seeking a highly skilled, experienced and motivated Tool Install Project Manager to join our growing team in Chandler, Arizona area on a large-scale semiconductor manufacturing construction project. Successful candidates for this position will have demonstrated Construction Project Management success with previous construction experience working directly with a mechanical contractor and must be self-motivated, technical skilled, highly organized, clearly communicate and have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Candidates’ work history must represent increased levels of responsibility on a progressive basis throughout career. Semiconductor Tool Install experience required.

Requirements

  • 8+ years direct experience with Semiconductor Construction
  • Strong knowledge of activities from design to Equipment sign off
  • Knowledge of CPM scheduling in the construction environment
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to work well with external vendors to drive results; ability to communicate within multiple levels in an organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction standards, practices, techniques, and technology
  • Extensive knowledge of job cost accounting
  • Experience with negotiations of project changes and process improvements
  • Ability to interpret construction contracts, plans and specifications
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience with the following tools: PM Web/Primavera/Excel/Word

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred B.S. Degree in Engineering, Construction Management
  • Related field or equivalent experience accepted in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
  • Work directly with the Client to ensure that tool install program scope, sequencing, and production readiness requirements are met.
  • Manage project team including trade partners, tool vendors, and specialty contractors to meet tool install milestones, turnover requirements, and manufacturing start dates.
  • Lead semiconductor tool install scope from equipment delivery through final hook-up and turnover, including: Tool set, placement, and alignment within cleanroom and subfab environments, Coordination of tool hook-up to process utilities including UPW, process piping, specialty gas, bulk gas, exhaust, and electrical systems , Oversight of equipment rigging, setting, and anchoring activities in controlled environments, Interface management between base build MEP systems and tool-specific connections
  • Coordinate closely with Facilities, Manufacturing, and Equipment Engineering teams to align installation sequencing with tool readiness and factory ramp schedules.
  • Drive tool install schedule integration with overall construction schedule, ensuring alignment between base build completion, system turnover, and tool move-in.
  • Review and validate tool install scope, drawings, and specifications including vendor packages, install drawings, and utility matrices.
  • Manage and resolve field issues related to tool install including clashes, utility conflicts, late design changes, and vendor coordination challenges.
  • Oversee and track tool install progress using construction and manufacturing-driven metrics, including tool move-in readiness, hook-up completion, and system turnover.
  • Review pricing for tool install scope, change orders, and field changes with trade partners and vendors to ensure scope coverage and cost control.
  • Monitor financial status of tool install scope including labor productivity, material tracking, and vendor costs.
  • Support commissioning, qualification, and turnover activities including coordination with CQV teams and factory startup requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on tool install efficiency, installation cycle time reduction, and labor productivity.
  • Prepare project reports and communicate status to Client management, Facilities Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with trade labor and demonstrate leadership in driving productivity and schedule adherence in fast-paced cleanroom environments.
