About The Position

Join Lantech as a Level 3 Tool & Fixture Maker in our CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility. We offer a 4-day work week with overtime opportunity, quarterly profitability bonuses, and TONS of opportunity for advancement. 1st Shift: Mon - Thu, 5am - 3:30 pm. Position Overview: Sets up and operates machine tools, lathe, milling machine, grinder to make parts to specified tolerances. Support Lantech production by building fixtures, assembly aides, Go/No Go gauges, poke-yoke, etc. Ability to produce replacement parts for said items. At times will make parts for production equipment. Will be producing finished work from drawings and or written / verbal instruction. Must be flexible to step into production roles temporarily in support of spikes in the schedule and unplanned events at the request of leadership. May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications. Performs all work with adherence to safety procedures. Willing to participate in and learn Lean methodology. Must be willing to work overtime.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of machining experience is required.
  • Precision measuring experience (micrometers, calipers, and gages minimum).
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and rebuild skills.
  • Sustained record of good attendance is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • CAD/CAM experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of materials and applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical/mechanical/pneumatic experience.
  • Lean knowledge/experience is a plus.
  • In-depth Root Cause/Point of Cause problem solving experience.

Responsibilities
