About The Position

As a Tool & Die Technician, you will be responsible for metal stamping and deep draw tooling used to meet daily production requirements in the plant's Metals Department. Your role will involve all maintenance, troubleshooting, and dimensional centering of stamped and deep drawn tooling. You will also manage tool inventory for all appropriate machinery and equipment, determining the rework ability of perishable tooling made from materials such as carbide, ceramic, tool steel, and engineered plastics. The position requires the ability to prioritize workflow and demonstrates technical mastery at the highest level. You will be accountable for Safety, Quality, Reliability, and Cost associated with the equipment. Additionally, you must be capable of demonstrating basic computer skills and maintain equipment ownership to drive out losses. This role demands a strong technical understanding, technical zeal, the ability to deal with uncertainty, attention to detail, flexibility, and supervision.

Requirements

  • Technical mastery in tool and die technology.
  • Experience with metal stamping and deep draw tooling.
  • Ability to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on tooling.
  • Knowledge of materials such as carbide, ceramic, tool steel, and engineered plastics.
  • Strong prioritization and workflow management skills.
