Tool & Die Technician Hot Stamp-West VirginiaRole Summary Machining operations in the Tool Room Machine Shop. Milling, Turning, Drilling, Surface Grinding.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have successfully completed a Machining discipline and be CNC Certified.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years machining experience.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Understand and comply with all OSHA, safety and PPE requirements;
- Understand and comply with all ISO and Environmental policies and requirements.
- Run machine tools in the Machine Shop.
- Assists in developing daily /weekly staffing plans to keep machining projects on schedule.
- Coordinates work through the shop.
- Assists in maintaining tooling and material inventories.
- Responsible for the TPM on machine tools.
- Responsible for 5S in Machine Shop and surrounding Tool Room areas.
- Assists in the coordination of OJT for Toolmakers.
- Machine components from 2D and 3D designs.
- Read and apply blueprints, and engineering changes
- Daily 5S and work area organization
- Support team functions by:
- Kaizen submittal and implementation
- Cross-training with others
- Backfills other work stations as needed
- Problem solving
- Supports operational metrics and meets operational needs
- Performs other duties and assignments as deemed necessary or appropriate.
