About The Position

A Tool and Die Setter is a skilled professional responsible for setting up and adjusting metal stamping and forming dies, ensuring the efficient and safe production of parts according to specifications. This role combines technical expertise with a strong emphasis on quality control and safety in a manufacturing environment. A reliable and precise Tool and Die Setter is sought to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up and operating various sizes of presses, selecting and installing appropriate dies and tooling for each job, and performing necessary adjustments during production runs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong mechanical skills, and be committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in a metal stamping or manufacturing setting with press machines or injection molding
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical skills, including the use of precision measuring tools
• Physical stamina
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills
• Good communication
• Ability to work extended hours

Nice To Haves

• Experience with metal stamping
• Experience with safety procedures like crane safety and lock out tag out

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating stamping and specialty presses
