The Tooling & Die Technician is responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of tooling components, details, and perishables in the tool crib to ensure workflow is not disrupted. This role involves die maintenance responsibilities to support production, including establishing reorder levels, ensuring inventory accuracy in Plex, and participating in new tool design reviews. The technician will work closely with engineering and production teams to coordinate tooling supply needs and monitor usage to safeguard supplies. The position requires organizing the tool crib for optimal inventory control and making recommendations for tooling PM/Work Requests to improve effectiveness. The technician will also assist purchasing in determining the best products and prices, complete necessary paperwork for die books, and optimize knowledge bases for future die designs.
