Basic Job Functions:We’re looking for a skilled Tool Room Machinist to join our team and help ensure our Forming Equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing tooling setups, while also fabricating new parts using machines such as mills, grinders, and lathes. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering to review new product designs and develop smarter forming processes that reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and maintain high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will bring strong machining experience, an eye for problem-solving, and a drive for continuous improvement. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year general machining experience
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.
  • Candidates must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years or more machining experience using grinders, lathes and mills
