Requirements

  • Tool & Die certification or completed apprenticeship preferred.
  • 4-5 years of experience building and troubleshooting metal stamping dies.
  • Strong understanding of die construction, fit, finish, and surface quality-especially for Class A panels.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and precision measurement.
  • Excellent mechanical problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, and fit Class A transfer dies for new tooling programs.
  • Participate in die Tryout to ensure tooling meets dimensional and functional requirements.
  • Implement Engineering changes and ensure accurate updates to dies throughout the process.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD data, and job orders to plan builds and modifications.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and refine dies for optimal performance.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Program Management to meet deadlines and quality standards.
