This role requires working with a wide range of people in varying roles across the organization, including hourly associates, other support personnel within the facility and could include personnel at other facilities and outside suppliers. The position supports the daily operational activities of production work cells and ensures that the routine daily operations are productive and safe. It also includes assistance with maintaining a clean and healthy work environment consistent with established policies and procedures. Responsible for monitoring one or various production lines and operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures, ensuring smooth production operation during the shift. Assist in the construction and repair of tools, dies and other components used in the manufacturing process. Learn and apply skills in various machining operations including milling, grinding and turning Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints with precision Accurately measure and inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with tools and dies under the supervision of senior staff Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols in the manufacturing plant Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills A minimum of one year experience machining and constructing tooling to drawing specifications to meet production needs. A minimum of one year experience reading blueprint drawings. A minimum of one year experience with manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc. A minimum of one year experience with machining a variety of tool steel material and including D2, A2, and copper. Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Washington, PA (50 miles) will be considered for this position. Associates Degree related to Tool and Machining or 2 years of experience as a die maker. Experience in building die tooling for stamping/manufacturing processes.
