Parker Hannifin Tool Crib Attendant / Machining Technologist - 1 st Shift Dayton, OH Noise, Vibration, and Harshness Division Engineered Materials Group Parker Lord's Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple, fluid priorities and proactively address business demands in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills when dealing with individuals across the organization and with external customers or vendors.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • 5-10 years of machining and or tooling experience.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Experience in an Aerospace manufacturing facility.
  • Experience using Enovia 3DX or similar PLM software.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with Zoller Tool Management Software.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Experience with Auto Desk Inventor or comparable CAD design software.
  • Associate degree in machining, engineering, manufacturing engineering. or related discipline

Responsibilities

  • Manage cutting tool inventories, inspect, and order as needed.
  • Build and preset cutting tool assemblies for machining.
  • Subject matter expert and Zoller Tool Management (TMS) Project champion.
  • Main data creator for Zoller TMS in Dayton.
  • Train associates on the usage of Zoller TMS for data entry and check in/check out functionality.
  • Manage the location and movement of all plant tooling using Zoller Tool TMS taking a lead role of all tool storage in the Dayton facility.
  • Support engineering with Zoller TMS and Tool Setter purchases, calibration, and software updates.
  • Perform yearly Externally Owned Tooling Audits of Government and customer owned tooling, internal, and on-site guided audits.
  • Taking guidance from the Tooling Engineer, the technician will follow all Parker workflows and adhere to the Tool Management Procedures, and AS9100 compliance.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through a focus on waste elimination and use of LEAN manufacturing methodologies.
  • Support machine shop documentation updates and creation.
  • Support machine shop process improvements.
  • Perform Time Studies as needed.
  • Support closure of Machining TIB tasks.
  • All other duties as assigned.
