About The Position

This role administers the computerized maintenance department work order system that supports the overall department function and helps manage the receiving function of BFA. The position requires constant and effective communication within and outside of the department to keep key personnel informed. The position is also responsible for supporting and accomplishing goals and objectives using the team management approach by working closely with other departments, particularly the operations department.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and speak English; comprehension of basic math.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment.

  • Working knowledge of personal computer spreadsheet, database, and word processing software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Follow GMP/PPE, Safety guidelines
  • Effectively communicate (verbally and in writing to complete required documentation)
  • Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment in industrial establishment.
  • Work safely around moving equipment & conveyors in wet environment
  • Issue spare and replacement parts, equipment, and expendable items used in repair or maintenance shop.
  • Prepare periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using a computer.
  • Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
  • Mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool.
  • Perform clerical duties as required by shift supervisor.

  • Responsible for taking calls for breakdowns of equipment and preparing necessary Work Orders for mechanics
  • Perform monthly cycle counts
  • Maintains a clean work area at all times
  • Perform other duties as needed.
