Job Description Key Responsibilities: 1. Tool and Equipment Management: Issue tools, equipment, and MRO supplies to production and maintenance personnel as needed. Ensure that all tools and equipment are returned in good condition and accounted for. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition. 2. Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records of all tools, equipment, and supplies within the crib. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy. Track tool usage and life cycle to forecast replacement needs and avoid shortages. 3. Procurement and Stock Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase requests to replenish stock as needed. Work with the procurement team to source and order new tools, equipment, and supplies. Ensure timely delivery and proper storage of incoming materials. 4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of tool usage, inventory transactions, and maintenance activities. Generate reports on inventory levels, tool usage, and equipment status for management review. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory management. 5. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve tool crib operations and implement best practices. Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to streamline tool distribution processes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. 6. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all tools and equipment are stored and handled in accordance with safety regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections of the crib and related storage areas. Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the tool crib and across the manufacturing floor. 7. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to all production and maintenance personnel. Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to tool and equipment distribution. Assist with training employees on proper tool usage and maintenance procedures. Qualifications: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in inventory management or related field preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in tool crib operations, inventory management, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., CMMS, ERP) and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of tools, equipment, and MRO supplies used in manufacturing. Requirements
