Under direct supervision, you will be the go-to person for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking tools, dies, materials, parts, and equipment that keep operations running smoothly. What you will do Issue tools, equipment, and parts to workers and maintain accurate records of items issued and returned. Track down lost or misplaced tools, equipment, or parts and update records accordingly. Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools, equipment, and parts; requisition stock to replenish inventory as needed. Enter all required data into business operations software and support purchasing and receiving process requirements. Inspect tools, equipment, and parts for defects or wear; report any damage or wear to supervisors. Keep all parts clean, labeled, and organized in the proper locations. Perform clerical tasks and other administrative activities as directed by the manager. Participate actively in weekly and monthly team meetings. You may also: interface with purchasing and receiving; repair, service, or lubricate tools and equipment; deliver tools or equipment to workers manually or using a hand truck; and mark/identify tools and equipment with identification tags, stamps, or an electric marking tool.
