The tool assembler is responsible for the day to day operation of the Assembly department by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities below. Duties and Responsibilities: Read, understand, and follow advanced job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions and procedures. Lifts, loads, sorts, and moves materials, supplies, and finished products between storage and work areas, using push-cart, hoist, or dolly. Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specificationsOperate equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies with hand tools, power tools, or bench machines.Inspects, tests, and verifies accuracy of assembled article for conformance to standards, using measuring or testing equipment, or by visual examination. Informs supervisors of any parts or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective product parts, using hand tools, power tools, or bench machines. Cleans dust, dirt, and other foreign matter from material or machine surfaces, using cleaning solution, rag, air hose. Measures and marks reference lines and points on parts according to specifications, using template, rule, or marking device. Cuts materials, such as fabric, metal, paper, or wood into specified dimensions or shapes, using cutting machine, scissors, or knife. Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to ensure maximum alertness and preparation Perform other duties as assigned.
