About The Position

Summary: The tool assembler is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Assembly department by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities below. Duties and Responsibilities: Read, understand, and follow advanced job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions and procedures. Shape and work tool surfaces using both power and hand tools to meet engineering and/or industry requirements.Visual inspect and rework surfaces for defects for corrections according to specifications.Perform standard and helium vacuum testing in accordance with customer requirements. Spotting molds / dies with use of colorants to achieve proper fit in accordance to engineering tolerances. Lifts, loads, sorts, and moves materials, supplies, and finished products between storage and work areas, using push-cart, hoist, or dolly. Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specificationsOperate equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies with hand tools, power tools, or bench machines.Inspects, tests, and verifies accuracy of assembled article for conformance to standards, using measuring or testing equipment, or by visual examination. Informs supervisors of any parts or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective product parts, using hand tools, power tools, or bench machines. Cleans dust, dirt, and other foreign matter from material or machine surfaces, using cleaning solution, rag, air hose. Cuts materials, such as fabric, metal, paper, or wood into specified dimensions or shapes, using cutting machine, scissors, or knife. Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to ensure maximum alertness and preparation Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Six months to one-year related experience and/or training
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Reads and understands blueprints, schematics, and/or measuring devices.
Follows processes and standard procedures.
Uses hand tools and power tools.
Work in a high energy, high volume, rapidly changing environment.
Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
