The Tool and Die Maintenance Technician is responsible for operating and setting up various mechanically controlled and computer-controlled machine tools to create precision tools, metal parts, and instruments. The role requires in-depth knowledge of dies, blueprints, and equipment used in a die maintenance shop, as well as the ability to build or maintain tools to meet quality standards. The technician will face daily challenges that require problem-solving skills and adaptability, while adhering to safety practices and procedures.

  • Operate and set up mechanically controlled and computer-controlled machine tools.
  • Build or maintain existing tools to acceptable quality standards.
  • Utilize CAD software to produce parts and products.
  • Follow all safety practices and procedures set forth by the company.
  • Troubleshoot problems using computer programs.
  • Maintain a complete working knowledge of plant operations in the Tool and Die Maintenance Department.
  • Complete working knowledge of plant operations specializing in the Tool and Die Maintenance Department.
  • Vocational Training and/or equivalent experience in tool and die making.
  • Journey's card preferred.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Experience with G-Code programming.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and conversational programming.
  • Experience with CNC programming and operation.
