Tool and Die Machinist

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical school training or 5+ years of related experience
- Experience in a machine shop environment (2, 3, and 5-axis preferred)
- Strong background with manual equipment (lathe, Bridgeport, surface grinder, jig bore)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions on repairs
- Basic computer skills
- Shows up, pays attention, and works safely
- Can problem-solve without needing constant direction
- Communicates clearly and works well with others
- Willing to learn and continue building knowledge
Responsibilities
- Build and repair tooling using manual and CNC machining equipment
- Work from blueprints, drawings, and sketches to create or modify tools
- Troubleshoot tooling, dies, and fixtures with minimal supervision
- Perform machine setup and support production as needed
- Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Support rapid prototyping and tool design improvements
- Document work using Global Shop (work orders, logs, etc.)
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams
