The Tonga Room Barback position reports to the Tonga Room Manager and involves assisting guests with beverage menu items, having full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods. The role also includes assisting with the steady flow of the bar, helping bartenders with cocktail mixing operations, and pre-batching cocktail recipes and ingredient prep. Nice To Haves

• Previous barback experience preferred.
• Previous point of sale system experience an asset
• Basic cocktail knowledge an asset

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Assist with a steady flow of the bar, assisting the bartenders in all operations of mixing cocktails.
• Assist with pre-batching of cocktail recipes and ingredient prep
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Other duties as assigned
