We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers. We are currently hiring a Test Architect Engineer responsible for the test strategy and architecture on the Tomahawk Portfolio for 6 different sub-programs. This leader will develop, maintain and ensure the test strategy is optimized to meet program end-goal objectives. The role requires critical interaction/event planning with the Chief Engineers, software team and system integration and test team with a focus on test processes, embedded test, factory operations, and other functions. The person fulfilling this role will also be mentoring junior Test Architects on the Tomahawk portfolio and thus must be experienced in surface launched testing. Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of Ten (10) years of prior relevant experience.
  • An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance.
  • Experience with Model Based Engineering.
  • Experience with integration and qualification testing including surface launched flight test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with customers to develop program integration and test strategies.
  • Graduate or enrolled in the Raytheon Test Architect Development Program.
  • Platform Integration and Test work with surface ships and/or land-based target sets.
  • Any experience with JMEWS, AGR5 MCode, FCEU Redesign, MRSS Redesign, CLS Production Restart and GEU-R Redesign program elements.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for test strategy for all aspects of the program and defines metrics to gauge progress.
  • Responsible for defining or optimizing test environments and requirements to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Facilitates the transition between Engineering Development and Production Test Program Phases to optimize production assembly and test solutions.
  • Responsible for interface and coordination with internal and external organizations on test strategy, coordination, execution, and reporting activities.
  • Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Directorate Leads, Chief Engineers, and Technical SMEs.
  • Coordinate with other program IPTs/CPTs to draw on their subject matter experts to address emergent issues across the systems, software and hardware domains.
  • Represent the interests of the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) directorate on the program.
  • Interface with the customer community on a regular basis to share test status, issues, and address programmatic concerns.
  • Have a good knowledge base for Model Based Systems Engineering and how to use this in Integration and Test for the test strategy.
  • Mentoring junior Test Architects on the Tomahawk portfolio in the performance of their duties.
  • This position requires domestic and international travel.
