We’re looking for a full-time teacher to join our team, working with energetic and curious two-year-olds as they take important steps toward PreK and Kindergarten readiness. At Pro Re Bona Early Learning Center, part of the Chambliss Center for Children network, you’ll play a vital role in nurturing early learning, building foundational skills, and creating a safe, inclusive environment where every child can grow. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact while advancing your career in early childhood education. Position Details: Location : Pro Re Bona Early Learning Center, 1707 Dodds Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am to 4pm Pay : Starts at $13/hour with a High School diploma and no prior child care experience; $15/hour with a CDA. Rates increase with education and experience, up to $19.45/hour.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to pass a fingerprint background check.
- Experience in Early Childhood Education, specifically in a classroom setting.
Responsibilities
- Stay engaged and supervise children in your care, ensuring safety and promoting active participation in all activities.
- Plan and lead activities that support children’s development in social, emotional, physical, and cognitive areas.
- Maintain an organized and supportive classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with staff, parents, and volunteers.
- Be attentive to the health and well-being of children, responding to their needs as appropriate.
