About The Position

At The Learning Experience in Avon, CT, the mission is to create a happy, nurturing environment where children, families, and teachers grow together. They are looking for a caring, energetic Teacher to help their littlest learners explore the world. The Learning Experience makes early education joyful, engaging, and fun, focusing on the six ages and stages of early childhood development. Their curriculum engages children in hands-on learning activities that encourage exploration and problem-solving at their own rate. A full cast of characters serves as educators, partners, and friends, bringing learning to life through fun and imagination.

Requirements

At least 6 months of professional childcare or teaching experience.
High school diploma/GED required.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and infant milestones.

Nice To Haves

1 year of professional childcare or teaching experience.
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

Create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment for infants.
Implement our fun, hands-on L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to support early learning and development.
Build strong relationships with families by sharing daily updates, photos, and milestones.
Collaborate with other teachers and center leadership to maintain a positive and supportive workplace.
Model best practices in early childhood education and help guide assistant teachers in the classroom.
Ensure compliance with all Connecticut state licensing and safety standards.
