About The Position

The Toddler Montessori Assistant at the Christian Montessori School of Ann Arbor is responsible for supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for toddlers. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of professional experience in infant/toddler care.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• Computer literacy to manage attendance and care information.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending and sitting on the floor.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Montessori classroom preferred.
• Christian faith preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in preparing and maintaining a nurturing classroom environment.
• Facilitate care of toddlers, including changing diapers and preparing meals.
• Maintain a safe and emotionally responsive classroom that meets the needs of students.
• Communicate effectively with team members, parents, and administrators.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the classroom.
• Demonstrate reliability through punctual and consistent attendance.
• Anticipate the needs of toddlers and respond accordingly.
