About The Position

The Lead Teacher role has the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety and well-being of all the children in their classroom. In addition, the Lead Teacher's role is to support the mission and philosophy of the Center, provide a nurturing, consistent, developmentally appropriate environment that meets the cognitive, emotional, social and physical needs of young children, develop and maintain family relationships, collaborate with co-teaching team, and take part in continuous professional development. The Lead Teacher must abide by all EEC licensing standards, and all policies and procedures set forth in the employee handbook.

Requirements

  • Lead Teacher Certified by MA Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's Degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an early childhood setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work cooperatively and communicate well with others
  • Reliable and conscientious
  • Computer skills (MS Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Kaymbu, COR Advantage)
  • Willingness to increase knowledge in the field
  • Organized, ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently
  • Attentive to confidentiality of records and other information

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate of CPR and first aid training (recommended)
