To Go Attendant/Cashier
About The Position
To-Go attendants are 100% responsible for the take-out area and all take-out orders when working. Some of the duties are answering phones with a "smile" and a proper greeting, making sure all orders are complete, including sauces or sides, and making sure all orders have napkins and disposable silverware. Company Overview Huey's, locally owned and operated, has been a staple of the Memphis community for 50 years. Job Summary Huey’s To-Go Attendants are responsible for providing fast service and great hospitality for our To-Go Guests. You are responsible for coordinating to-go orders by Huey’s standards and procedures to accommodate orders for guests. Requirements
- Good communication skills
- Able to operate POS system for transactions
- Fast-paced mobility to and from guest cars for periods up to 8 hours
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
Nice To Haves
- Previous host/hostess experience in a restaurant is a plus
Responsibilities
- Have knowledge of the menu and ensure an exceptional experience for every Guest
- Answering phones with a proper greeting before the third ring and assisting guests with placing To-Go orders
- Enter orders in proper sequence
- Must maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period
- Can accurately handle money, make changes, and process credit card transactions
- Operate and participate effectively in a team environment
- Smiling and greeting guests as they come in or if the order is curbside
- Sweeping and mopping when necessary
- Contacting a manager immediately if there is a problem with a customer's food or overall experience
- Maintaining cleanliness of the take-out area
- Being able to do to-go check out and count down a drawer
- Ensuring excellent food quality by checking all take-out orders before they leave the building
- Completing daily side work duties
