Wells Fargo is seeking a first year Investment Banking Program Analyst as part of Corporate & Investment Banking. Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) Banking Coverage This position is an Analyst role with the TMT investment banking coverage team. In this role, you will support deal origination and transaction execution within TMT’s sectors, including Software, Semiconductors, Internet, Media, Telecom, Data & Analytics, Business Services, and FinTech. Investment Banking Analysts are an integral part of the Investment Banking team. They are directly involved in the design, origination, structuring, and execution of investment banking products and services for existing and prospective clients. Analysts participate in client meetings, due diligence visits, and other client interactions during which they gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers. The Analyst provides these services as part of a team consisting of Associates, Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managing Directors. In this role, you will: Participate in analyzing companies, develop strategies for clients, pulling market and industry research, and completing a trading simulation within Investment Banking Mid-Year Program Review strategies for clients, build detailed financial models, analyze market data, and prepare client presentations related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Interact with internal and external customers Create detailed financial models used for valuation (DCF, LBO, merger plans, accretion/dilution, comparable company and transaction analyses) Perform comprehensive company and industry research Work closely with senior bankers on client presentations, financial and credit analyses, and the preparation of financial projections and models, including valuations and merger consequences Prepare marketing documents, including pitch materials, confidential offering memoranda Conduct extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of potential transactions Work as a member of a team executing advisory services across products including M&A, equity, debt, leveraged finance, etc. Participate in client meetings, due diligence visits, and other client interactions to gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Support senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities, including interaction with current and prospective clients
