About The Position

As a TMS Technician, you will work closely with our team of mental health professionals to provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy, a non-invasive treatment for individuals with depression and other mental health conditions. TMS Technician is responsible for assisting with setting up, and delivering daily TMS treatments to patients, assisting with Spravato treatments if applicable, performing neuropsychiatric testing if applicable, administering EEGs and neurofeedback treatments if applicable, cooperatively working alongside providers, performing front desk duties, and additional tasks when requested. TMS Technician/MA shall work closely with clinicians, the Practice Manager, and support staff who manage all patient inquiries, intakes, and other TMS, and other Practice operations.

Requirements

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with at least one year experience in the healthcare setting;
  • Behavioral Health experience preferred;
  • Must be comfortable with hands on patient care;
  • Must be passionate about patient care and possess excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay focused;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language;
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills;
  • Great ability to work collaboratively and having excellent team building skills;
  • Adequate understanding of billing and collection practices preferred;
  • Physically able to walk, stand, lift, stoop and bend;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word. Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred;
  • Possess adaptability and initiative;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to function well independently, as well as a member of a team, ability to work productively and effectively

Responsibilities

  • Assisting providers during initial TMS appointments and administering ongoing daily TMS treatment sessions;
  • Assisting patients with neurofeedback treatments;
  • Rooming patients and setting them up for neuropsychiatric testing and evaluation;
  • Checking patient vitals as needed;
  • Charting relevant information in electronic medical record (EMR) system daily;
  • Keeping treatment and testing rooms clean and organized at all times, including preparation and clean-up of treatment and testing room before and after patients;
  • Following applicable guidelines regarding PPE and disinfecting of the treatment room / other areas;
  • Monitoring of patients during treatment and testing;
  • Keeping in contact and working closely with Practice Manager;
  • Performing all duties and responsibilities assigned by the Practice Manager;
  • Assisting patients with disabilities, including those wheelchair-bound;
  • Assisting in emergency situations;
  • Maintaining HIPAA and OSHA compliance;
  • Handling all documents and medical records in a confidential manner and in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable laws and regulations;
  • Obtaining and recording of patient consents and related documents, if applicable;
  • Performing clinical support duties as assigned, including contacting insurance companies for authorizations, completing documents, etc.;
  • Maintaining professional demeanor and high level of service, at all times, with Company's patients, employees and business contacts;
  • Following treatment protocol(s) as instructed, including reporting treatment progress;
  • Providing a safe and therapeutic environment for patient care;
  • Maintaining a high degree of accuracy regarding all details;
  • Assuming other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
