About The Position

TMS Coordinator - Stony Brook Psychiatric Associates, UFPC Location: East Setauket, NY Schedule: Full time Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30am -5:00pm; some evenings required Pay: $22.00 - $27.47 Our compensation philosophy aims to provide marketable compensation programs and to compensate employees based on relevant experience and education. Individual compensation discussions begin during the hiring process and may occur during job review and promotional opportunities. Salaries vary depending on experience, education and current market for the position. Human Resources determines the external and internal equitable salary for each employee. Requirements

  • Successful completion of TMS Certification (training and certification provided during first 3 months of employment).
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort with seniors and patients with mood disorders
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and comfortable with electronic medical record data

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion.
  • Provide support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression and/or
  • Administer TMS treatments according to specific physician
  • Set up the TMS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy.
  • Maintains the TMS schedule
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with coil contact and TMS system setup throughout treatment while maintaining patient
  • Administer psychiatric rating
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor, and interface well with patients in a mental-health setting required.
  • Administer psychiatric rating scales
  • Communicate with a lead TMS psychiatrist who oversee patient
  • Support the Physician as
  • Handle all patient information in a confidential and private manner, as in compliance with state and federal laws for mental
  • Monitor patients physical and emotional well-being and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to physician.
  • Take and record measure of patients physical condition using devices such as vital sign monitors, thermometers, blood pressure gauges in accordance with specified protocols and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Directors
