About The Position

Seeking a Medication Aide to serve at Grace Home, Essentia Health's long-term care facility in Graceville, Minnesota. This TMA/CMA works on a casual, as-needed basis. Some holidays and weekends are required. This candidate must be CNA certified and hold a medication aide certificate.

Requirements

• Active CNA on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
• Trained Medication Administrator Certification.
• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
• Education as required for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to skilled nursing facility residents.
• Serve the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, within the scope of the nursing assistant role.
• Provide personal hygiene care.
• Assist with providing for nutritional needs.
• Recognize and deal with the problems of the aging process.
• Recognize and promptly report changes in resident condition to shift nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents.
• Prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues and strive to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective actions.
